The Meadowlands is a diverse economic and cultural community in northeast New Jersey, named for the large ecosystem of wetlands along the terminus of the Hackensack and Passaic Rivers. The Meadowlands Liberty tourism district extends from the Statue of Liberty to the George Washington Bridge on the New Jersey Gold Coast and inland approximately 8 miles to the western towns of the Meadowlands district.
